Halsey supports Earth Day Network’s volunteers and interns around the world as they make their lives, communities and governments more sustainable. He has a Bachelor of Science in environmental studies from the University of Vermont. Halsey was born and raised on the coast of Maine, where the prospect of rising seas convinced him that environmentalism is the top challenge and best opportunity of his generation. Aiming to bring everyone into the sustainability project, he has worked in community organizing, education, political campaigns and the U.S. Senate. Halsey spends weekends and evenings making pottery, writing letters and persuading his friends to go hiking.
