EARTHDAY.ORG TEAMS UP WITH DELOS FOR EARTH DAY 2021

Washington, D.C. and New York, April 20, 2021 — Delos, a wellness real estate and technology company, is supporting EARTHDAY.ORG, the global organizer of Earth Day, to progess their mission to educate, activate, and diversify the environmental movement globally. Through Delos’ sponsorship of EARTHDAY.ORG and its Restore Our Earth campaign, the company will help bring awareness to the importance of sustainability in advancing public health.

Indoor air quality can be up to five times worse than outdoors, and even with advanced water treatment technologies it can be challenging to ensure that drinking water is free from contaminants. Delos’ programs and solutions, including those that address air purification and water filtration, can be used to help mitigate environmental concerns such as wildfire smoke and water pollution. Through collaborations with green building leaders and a growing focus on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives, Delos recognizes that strategies that support human health are inextricably linked to strategies that support environmental health.

“Now more than ever, people are realizing that what surrounds us matters – what we breathe, what we touch, and how we interact with our environments,” said Paul Scialla, CEO and Founder of Delos and Founder of the International WELL Building Institute. “Human health and planetary health together encompass the holistic picture of sustainability, and both are foundational to a resilient economy and our collective well-being.”

EARTHDAY.ORG’s theme for Earth Day 2021, Restore Our Earth, focuses on natural processes and emerging green technologies that can restore the world’s ecosystems. Scialla will be featured in the EARTHDAY.ORG’s digital livestream event airing on April 22nd at 12PM ET. In addition, Delos and EARTHDAY.ORG are joining forces to develop rigorous education resources with high-quality content on the link between air purification, sustainability and the indoor environment. The materials will be made available through EARTHDAY.ORG’s environmental education resources.

“We all need to act quickly to make our shared planet a more sustainable and healthier place to live. Unfortunately, we do not have the luxury of time when it comes to restoring our Earth. Now more than ever, as we face the challenges of post-COVID life, clear air is not an option — it is a necessity,” said Kathleen Rogers, President of EARTHDAY.ORG.
