Kansas

Kansas follows the Next Generation Science Standards as a framework for teaching climate change in their schools. However, they have done nothing beyond this in the realm of climate education and it has remained stagnant for a number of years now. Though they are teaching climate change, they are doing the bare minimum and more must be done in order to prepare students for our changing world

Climate Issues

  • Drought
  • Increased intensity and frequency of floods
  • Increased frequency of tornadoes
