Giving Thanks During Teacher Appreciation Week | Earth Day Network

During Earth month, Climate Education week, and in the past few weeks since Earth Day, it has been so encouraging to hear from educators across the world who have used our toolkit to teach students about the plastic pollution crisis and what needs to be done to protect our environment. There are too many stories to share them all, but here is an example of a community-wide effort in Ontario, Canada, where students submitted videos, essays, posters and poems on the subject of plastic pollution for a contest. Three cheers to the teachers behind this — and other global efforts — to educate the next generation of sustainability leaders to protect and improve life on Earth. Know teachers educating kids on the environment and climate? Be sure to thank them during Teacher Appreciation Week! (And if you happen to be an educator, use our resources!)
