Take Action

Go Clean Energy

YOU MAY BE ABLE TO CHOOSE WHAT TURNS ON YOUR LIGHTS.

Consumer demand for renewable energy sources is one of the most immediate actions you can take to lower your carbon footprint. As the cost of constructing renewable energy sources like wind, solar and geothermal decreases, renewable energy is now an economical option for utilities.

Wouldn’t you be happier knowing that when you flip the light switch at home that electricity is flowing from a solar panel or wind turbine?

CALL YOUR UTILITY AND ASK FOR GREEN POWER

While there may be some charges associated with these efforts, in many cases, you can get fixed monthly pricing that is lower than national kilowatt-hour costs.

And as more people demand clean power, the more infrastructure gets built and the lower the price goes so others can participate.

It’s not “alternative” energy — it’s better energy. Help drive the demand for clean, renewable energy and sign up today.

FOR U.S. CUSTOMERS:

There are several options depending upon what state you live in and what utility company you are connected to for service. CleanChoice Energy is one search tool that gives you options for many states, including Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania, as well as the District of Columbia. The site also gives sign-up options for other states with a fee.

If you’re not in one of those eight states or DC, you can check with your utility, which often provides options. For instance, if you live in Virginia and are serviced by Dominion Power, they offer Green Power certificates, which allow for the purchase of renewable electricity to offset your total monthly use.
