EARTHDAY.ORG President Kathleen Rogers issued the following statement:
“EARTHDAY.ORG is mourning the loss of 14-year-old environmental activist Breiner David Cucuname, murdered in Colombia. As a defender of our shared home, we honor his work and memory. His tragic loss is a painful reminder that fighting for our planet continues to be increasingly dangerous in many parts of our world. With his activism in mind, we pledge to continue his mission and protect our environment.”
