EARTHDAY.ORG to Partner with the Ministry of the Environment of Colombia for EARTHDAY 2022

Washington D.C. (March 30, 2022) – EARTHDAY.ORG announced the honor of having the Ministry of the Environment of Colombia as our “Lead Honorary Partner in Colombia for EARTHDAY 2022”.
“This is in recognition of the impressive work of the Colombian Ministry of the Environment in regards to regional legislation, Climate Change, and Environmental Education, noted Kathleen Rogers, President of EARTHDAY.ORG. “Their work in sustainability and their legislative actions for our Environment and for Climate Change Education are important and vital towards combating climate change,” added Rodolfo Ropo Beltran, Regional Director- South America for EARTHDAY.ORG.
EARTHDAY.ORG also recognizes the sustainable development actions of the Colombian Ministry of the Environment towards improving the quality of life of urban and rural communities. Also notable is their participation of the Minister of Environment of Colombia Carlos Correa and Director Alex Saer in the Co-Chair Agreement on the inclusion of Climate Change Education during the last COP26 in Glasgow, Scotia, UK.
As part of the 52nd anniversary of the first Earth Day, all the activities will be included on EDO’s Global Map.

EARTHDAY.ORG SE ASOCIA CON EL MINISTERIO DEL MEDIO AMBIENTE DE COLOMBIA PARA EARTHDAY 2022
Washington D.C. (30 de marzo de 2022) – EARTHDAY.ORG anunció el honor de tener al Ministerio del Ambiente de Colombia como nuestro “Socio Honorario Principal en Colombia para EARTHDAY 2022”.
“Esto es un reconocimiento al impresionante trabajo del Ministerio del Medio Ambiente de Colombia en materia de legislación regional, cambio climático y educación ambiental”, señaló Kathleen Rogers, presidenta de EARTHDAY.ORG. “Su trabajo en sustentabilidad y sus acciones legislativas para nuestro Medio Ambiente y para la Educación sobre el Cambio Climático son importantes y vitales para combatir el cambio climático”, agregó Rodolfo Ropo Beltrán, Director Regional para Sudamérica de EARTHDAY.ORG.
EARTHDAY.ORG también reconoce las acciones de desarrollo sostenible del Ministerio del Medio Ambiente de Colombia para mejorar la calidad de vida de las comunidades urbanas y rurales. También se destaca la participación del Ministro de Medio Ambiente de Colombia Carlos Correa y el Director Alex Saer en el Acuerdo de Co-Presidencias sobre la inclusión de la Educación sobre Cambio Climático durante la última COP26 en Glasgow, Scotia, Reino Unido.
Como parte del 52 aniversario del primer Día de la Tierra, todas las actividades se incluirán en el Mapa Global de EDO.
En representación de la Dirección de Cambio Climático y Gestión de Riesgos del MINISTERIO DEL MEDIO AMBIENTE DE COLOMBIA el Sr. Diego Alberto Mejía Acosta expresó: “Gracias por permitir que el Ministerio del Medio Ambiente de Colombia sea socio oficial del Día de la Tierra”.
