EARTHDAY.ORG Statement on the Passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Washington, D.C. – In addition to millions of Americans across the country, EARTHDAY.ORG is currently mourning the loss of renowned jurist, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. 

EARTHDAY.ORG President Kathleen Rogers issued the following statement:

“RBG’s legacy will live on forever. A person of incredible integrity, she staunchly supported justice and equality for all.  She also stood up for the planet and its people. From Massachusetts v. EPA to American Electric Power Co. Inc. v. Connecticut to Friends of the Earth v. Laidlaw and many more, she supported and authored critical Supreme Court decisions on climate change and other environmental issues. In her honor, we pledge to continue to fight for equality for all and to protect the earth.”
