Earth Day Network announces Alex Rendell as Ambassador in Thailand

Earth Day Network, the initiators and organizers of Earth Day over the past 50 years, is proud to announce the actor Alex Rendell as Earth Day Network’s Ambassador in Thailand. This popular personality has a deep concern for the environment that led him to co-found the Environmental Education Center (EEC), an organization that helps foster stewardship for the environment among children and young adults.

In his remarks following the announcement, Rendell said, “I am honored by the association with Earth Day Network.  The environment has always been very close to my heart and I look forward to help bring about a positive change.  I firmly believe that it is every individual’s responsibility (mine included) to take care of our planet, as it is our one and only home. Let’s do our bit to ensure that Earth stays habitable for humans.”

Speaking on the occasion, Kathleen Rogers, president Earth Day Network, said, “Earth Day Network is indeed privileged to have Alex Rendell agree to be an Earth Day Network Ambassador in Thailand.  All of us at Earth Day Network welcome this much-admired star and know that his environmentally friendly messages will be heard by millions, not just in Thailand but across continents.”

Karuna Singh, regional director Asia Earth Day Network said, “Earth is hurtling towards unrestrained climate change.  There is an urgent need to rapidly and widely build positive action for the environment. Thank you, Alex Rendell, for agreeing to take time out from your busy schedule to help Earth Day Network achieve this.  We are thankful to our partner Vivid Bangkok for introducing us to the amazing Mr. Rendell.”
