Earth Day Network Coordinates Large Tree Planting in Belgium

Through a grant from the UPS Foundation, Earth Day Network recently worked with partner VBV, the Association for Forests in Flanders, to plant 8,000 trees in Flanders, Belgium. “Earth Day Network is proud to partner with VBV and UPS on this important project,” said Kathleen Rogers, president of Earth Day Network. “Planting these much-needed trees will greatly improve not only the natural environment but the quality of life for all people who live in the region. It’s just the kind of community-based project that Earth Day Network exists to support.” Check out this local news story about the event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBCa_EtDXqY
UPS is also supporting the planting of fruit trees in six U.S. cities with the grant and with a host of UPS volunteers.
