Sam runs the MobilizeU campaign and gets to spread her passion for the environment to university students and campuses around the world. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and global sustainability from the University of Virginia, where she also led waste-reduction campaigns and Earth Day efforts for the Office for Sustainability. A previous internship on the Sustainability Team at the Hong Kong School of Science and Technology has also led to a deep curiosity about the impact of culture on environmental efforts. Sam feels most at peace when backpacking in the mountains, engaging in zero-waste lifestyles, cooking with friends, or any combination thereof.
