West Virginia
West Virginia has not only failed to implement a standard to instruct students on climate education, but they have actively acted to teach topics that go against anthropogenic climate change. This was done by teaching students that Milankovitch cycles were the cause of climate change, rather than human actions. If West Virginia is to make progress in climate education, it’s imperative that they pass legislation to mandate the correct teachings of what is happening to our earth.
