New Hampshire currently follows the Next Generation Science Standards as a framework for teaching climate change. In addition, they have attempted to introduce legislation to mandate climate education in public schools, though it died in committee. New Hampshire has implemented real initiatives to bolster climate education in the past and is continuing to try and introduce new ones as well.
The most recent climate change education measure in New Hampshire was House Bill 1635 in 2020, which would have required climate education in the state’s public schools; the bill died in committee in the same year.
