A Win for Environmental Education in India
September 22, 2016
We are pleased to announce a partnership with Visakhapatnam-based ‘Digital School’, the promoters of School Radio. The organization helps students set up school-broadcasted radio stations. In this new partnership, students will identify environmental topics that impact their communities. They will write attention-catching scripts, research, select broadcast quality voices, work on dramatization… in other words, take responsibility for every part of the broadcast!
The new partnership expands Earth Day Network- India’s #SayNotoPlasticBags and ‘Low Carbon Lifestyles’ campaigns. Students participating in Digital School will also be invited to Earth Day Network and Digital School competitions supporting these campaigns. The National Energy Conservation Day (December 14, 2016) competition is the next such event.
The radio programs are available online. Already, students from Digital School have presented on sustainable development, solar energy, and water conservation. Digital School is featured in our latest eBook that will be out on World Student’s Day. Look out for it on October 15th.
