Lewis Freeman is a co-founder and Executive Director of the Allegheny-Blue Ridge Alliance (www.abralliance.org), a coalition of over 50 organizations in Virginia and West Virginia that is leading the fight against the Atlantic Coast Pipeline and whose broader purpose is to protect the heritage, resources and economy of the Allegheny-Blue Ridge region. He is former President of Highlanders for Responsible Development, a citizens’ conservation group representing the interests of the Allegheny-Highlands region. Lew previously has been deputy assistant to the Governor of Ohio, an executive with several national trade associations and president of an opera company. He is also a professional actor and singer. He holds degrees from Ohio State University (B.A., History) and George Mason University (Masters, Public Policy). He resides in Highland County, Virginia.
