Maryland has not only implemented a framework so that environmental literacy is taught for k-12, but they have introduced efforts to increase experiential outdoor activities for those students as well. Though they have a ways to go to truly prepare the youth, Maryland is one of the states leading the pack in terms of climate education

POLICY AND LEGISLATION
There is a Maryland Partnership for Children in Nature (The Partnership) to promote environmental education for Maryland’s young people
