“I wanted to create this collection because I feel that Earth Day is so important – now more than ever,” says Lorien Stern. “During a time with so much division amongst people, it is undeniable that we are all citizens of this planet, and we must recognize that this unifies us.   I hope this collection inspires us to feel unity and connection, to remind us that we all share this beautiful planet.  The Earth is truly our mother, we owe her everything, and we must protect her. Earth day should be every day.”

The Lorien Stern collection is the first in a series of collaborations between the EARTHDAY.ORG and independent artists. Each one will be rooted in transparency, impact, and sustainability – every product is made with 100% organic cotton, with every item made-to-order, to eliminate excess inventory and waste.

Several items in the collection are manufactured in facilities powered by renewable energy which directly ties in with the Earth Day theme for 2025: Our Power, Our Planet, calling for a tripling of electricity produced by renewable energy by 2030. Most importantly, a significant portion of every sale goes directly to support EARTHDAY.ORG’s year-round climate action initiatives and climate education initiatives.

“This project is about collaboration, creativity, and impact,” said Aaron Fisher-Cohen, joint creative lead of EDO’s online store. “We want to work with passionate artists and brands to build something rooted in optimism—where people can discover pieces they love and know that their purchase is helping to fund real climate work.”

The Earth Day Store will continue to grow throughout 2025 with additional artist collaborations and product drops. This initiative is designed not just as a fundraising tool, but as a creative platform to broaden awareness and engagement around environmental issues.

“I see the Earth Day Store as a bridge between everyday life and the environmental movement. Partnering with EARTHDAY.ORG allows us to root our work in purpose, using creativity and commerce to reach new audiences,” says Andrew McInerney, joint creative lead, EDO store. “My hope is that the store becomes a space where design and activism intersect—where people can find products that reflect their values and start conversations. We’re not just selling things; we’re building momentum for a culture that cares, acts, and keeps the spirit of Earth Day alive all year long.”

“It’s been a privilege collaborating with Aaron, and Andrew, over the past half-year—reimagining what Earth Day can look like through the lens of art,” says Katherine Bruchalski, Digital Media Manager, EDO. “Creativity has always been a powerful force for change, and this project proves how art can inspire action and deepen our connection to the planet. The arts community brings so much vision to this movement, and I’m grateful to tap into that for this project.”
