November 1, 2019, Washington DC/London—Earth Day Network, which coordinates the annual Earth Day, is today delighted to announce that tve has become a key partner for 2020. tve, who help build a better future for people and planet through the power of storytelling and film, joins thousands of other groups and entities world-wide dedicated to make stepped-up environmental action a corner stone in this crucial year. Earth Day 2020 comes 50 years after the first Earth Day which, in 1970, mobilized over 20 million citizens to demand action on the environmental challenges of our time. Today Earth Day is observed in around 190 countries and mobilizes one billion people and close to 100,000 organizations. The overarching theme for Earth Day 2020, 22 April, is action on climate change. Nicole Itano, tve Executive Director, said: “The crisis facing our planet is the most important story of our time.
