Earth Day Network Receives $25,000 Wells Fargo Clean Technology and Innovation Grant to Support the EDN Green Ribbon Schools Project

Part of Two Million Dollar Philanthropic Effort to Support Clean Energy Technologies

Washington, DC, Nov. 20, 2013 – Earth Day Network today received a philanthropic grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation as part of the two million dollar Wells Fargo Clean Technology and Innovation program supporting technology advancements for a clean energy future. “We truly appreciate being recognized and will use this Wells Fargo grant to expand participation in our innovative green schools program,” said Susan Bass, Senior Vice President, Programs and Operations at Earth Day Network.  “We are excited to be a recipient of this highly competitive grant program.” Earth Day Network was named as a recipient of a Wells Fargo Clean Technology and Innovation grant. The grant program began in 2012 as part of Wells Fargo’s commitment to provide $100 million to environmentally-focused nonprofits, colleges and universities by 2020. It is funded by the Wells Fargo Foundation and is strategically aligned with the company’s vision and values to foster economic development, especially in underserved communities, to accelerate the global “green” economy.
