Our Staff
Josh Volinsky, Green Schools Coordinator, works on school greening projects, such as of solar panel installation and the construction of school gardens. The goal of these projects is to create a healthier place for students to learn, reduce the carbon footprint of school buildings, and make sustainability a part of every child’s life. Josh has a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Theatre concentration from Oberlin College, and a Masters of Science in Ecological Leadership and Education from Lesley University’s Audubon Expedition Institute.
Josh’s previous professional experience has run the educational and environmental gamut from teaching outdoors at a Nature’s Classroom, to being the Program Director of a large non-profit summer camp. He has a love of introducing children to the natural environment, and believes that green schools are a great way to incorporate natural systems into a student’s everyday life. When not in the office, Josh is an avid backpacker who has led many trips both domestically and internationally.
