Yuvasatta
Yuvsatta works on the Gandhian principle of ‘constructive programs based on voluntary effort and individual and community action’. It promotes solid waste management, bicycling, and the love of trees.
To promote a mode of transport that has zero carbon emission and saves the earth’s precious fuel, Yuvsatta will organize ‘Inter-School Bicycle Games’ to be held on Earth Day. The event will be widely advertised to about 250 schools in Chandigarh and in the neighbouring towns of Mohali and Panchkula. About 500 students are expected to participate. The Department of Environment, Chandigarh Administration will co-sponsor the event.
