Paryavaran Avam Gramin Vikas Sansthan
Since its inception in 1989, Paryavaran Avam Gramin Vikas Sansthan (PAGVS) is engaged in integrated social development in the West Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh. PAGVS works with local communities for natural resource management (rainwater harvesting, water conservation to recharge natural sources of water), organic farming, environment protection and income generation programs. Its bio-diversity conservation activity includes the dissemination of techniques to prepare different types of compost and bio-pesticides. It ensures that women are involved in all the programs.
