Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra
Four engineering graduates sensitive to the cause of disparity, exploitation and poverty established Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK) in 1971. NBJK’s mission is to educate, organize and empower the rural poor to promote development as a liberating force to achieve social justice, economic growth and self reliance.
NBJK has several activities planned to commemorate Earth Day. There will be 3 rallies, on April 9th, and 21st and May 2nd, with the objective of creating awareness on environmental issues. Children and teachers of local schools will participate. A quiz competition and a painting competition on the subject of environment will be held on Earth Day itself.
