Environmentalist of King Abdulaziz University

King Abdulaziz University (KAU) carries the name of the establisher of Saudi Arabia.The university based in Jeddah was established in 1387 H / 1967 G as a national university aiming at spreading higher education in the western area of Saudi Arabia. KAU long term goal is to be a leader in : -Developing and approving performance standards that measure the student’s academic levels and skills. -Superiority in research and developmental programs -Cultural contributions -Gain society’s and corporations trust in its outcome and -Optimal investment of university resources and abilities. Among many initiatives, KAU established environmental club named “Environmentalist of KAU (EA)” as part of its focus on female-students and take into consideration all their ideas and suggestions in first place. The Club works on encouraging students to go green and teach them how to protect the environment through many green activities in advocating for sustainable future. For Earth Day 2011, EA organized many green activities in honor of Earth Day 2011 such as recycling campaign, awareness presentation and environmental movie in encouraging students to protect our Earth.
