Calcutta Foundation

Calcutta Foundation is a not-for-profit founded in 1995.  The Foundation’s motto is “Wipe a tear, Spread a smile." their logo is a healthy tree, casting an inviting shadow. Calcutta Foundation's projects are extremely diverse, and have included: imparting training (western classical string music) to young orphan boys; building a home for 100 girl children of leprosy patients; providing training in traditional embroidery work to lesser privileged women, and building awareness about environmental issues.  Calcutta Foundation has also worked in tsunami-hit and flood prone areas of India.  With its projects, Calcutta Foundation helps empower lesser advantaged sections of society, be it young boys or girls or older men or women.
