Association for Water Applied Education & Renewable Energy (AWARE)

AWARE is a non-governmental organization works in arid and semi-arid areas of District Tharparkar and Umerkot in Sindh province since 2003. AWARE main focus is renewable energy, applied education, solar panel, Bio-gas plants and windmill projects. Also, AWARE aims to:

• Organize different sectors of population in order to involve the community in: identifying, understanding the community needs; identification, development, management and judicious use of natural resources particularly renewable energy resources;
• Provide the people suitable economic and research activities to build their development, management and leadership capacities/capabilities and to improve/develop their occupational/professional skills so as to strengthen their economic position
• Provide the people educational, healthcare, recreational facilities and cultural activities for their personality building; and
• Raise socio-economic, socio-political awareness among all the segments of society through seminars, workshops, training courses, lecture programs, walks, rallies, celebrations, demonstrations, exposure visits and more.
