In 1990, Earth Day launched an extensive campaign to educate and activate the K-12 school age population about environmental issues. This resulted in the creation of an Educators’ Network that is now used by over 30,000 teachers and educators nationwide. Providing innovative tools and resources to promote civic participation and to develop a sense of environmental responsibility among students of all ages, Earth Day Network’s Education Department works with partner organizations from all over the world to promote green schools and improve environmental education.

Our Partners

The National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) provides knowledge to trusted professionals who, with their credibility, amplify messages to national audiences to solve everyday environmental problems. NEEF and Earth Day Network have had a successful partnership for years, stemming from Earth Day Network’s continued participation in National Environmental Education Week, the week before Earth Day each year.

The No Child Left Inside® Coalition is composed of environmental, educational, and public health organizations, businesses, civic organizations and other public enterprises, all dedicated to ensuring a comprehensive education for all. On behalf of Earth Day Network, our Education team is a proud founding member and promoter of the Coalition.
