United Nations Environmental Programme’s Youth Initiative (UNEP- Tunza)
The United Nations Environment Programme – Tunza develops activities to engage youth in the areas of capacity building, environmental awareness, and information exchange. They provide many resources for the classroom including:

- Selection of UNEP created children’s stories focusing on environmental degradation:
- Listing of various international environmental competitions for youth
Adopt – A – Meter2 of Land, a new program created for Earth Day 2010, fosters activism in participants by encouraging each individual to adopt a square meter of land. Create an eco-mural, plant a garden or pick up trash – choose an activity that best suits your environment and culture! Teachers can use our Adopt – A – Meter2 of Land lesson plans to bring the message home in the classroom!
United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)
UNESCO is a leader in global environmental education, and aims to meet the learning needs of all children, youth and adults. Educator resources on global education initiatives include:

Save the Rainforest Inc
Save the Rainforest Inc. engage in course offerings and educational travel opportunities to help teachers better understand the effects of our depleting rainforest.
