The first week of the MobilizeU competition at Rhodes University in South Africa was a complete success!

Rhodes University held 2 major events, the “Green Fund Run” and the Student Representative Council Environmental Week.  The "green fund run" had over 500 participants and focused on depicting the lack of attention paid by world leaders to environmental issues. So, a big part of the event focused on dressing up (or down) depicting something green or the lack of world leadership. A tree was planted in honor of the winning teams and best dressed teams.

The Student Representative Council Environmental Week featured a theme for each day of the week such as “Environment and Art. This was a resounding success in raising awareness around environmental issues and Earth Day 2012”.

Dear Friends Greetings If we

Dear Friends
Greetings
If we like to express ourselves from deep of heart, it is bitter but reality that people in power, running after power and sharer of power undone before producer, profiteer. May be this is the hard fact for the earth’s history. Presently there is no chance to think that it would change easily. If we look back anyone could visualize the depiction that tells us greed of few people vanished total.

Could we start our earth savior program from other side? We could involve mass people to be responsible, do as best as possible finally raising their voice for adaptation, instead of urging by few rational individual, institution or expert from different country. To substantiate the thought we must need significant change in mindset among all preferably youth group. If they are tuned “To ensure Rights for all save a bit, reserve, preserve, conserve resources. Let’s achieve significant change in mindset, behavior and attitude combat Climate Crisis, Reduce Risk & Poverty, save Bio-diversity – Peace for Humanity —Way to Combat Climate Crisis, save Bio-diversity, Reduce Risk of Humanity.”

Since 2003 we group of people from all sector of life working on this and response is very positive specially from children/youth/students. Ok we shall do yearly gathering for adaptation and its solution head, concurrently we will be keen to involve mass people and each would contribute for the sake of environment. Vermiculture for Reducing

Vermiculture for Reducing Global Warming and Climate Change
What if Global Warming and Severe Climate Changes could be reduced and ultimately eliminated?
What if soil erosion could be reversed and unusable agricultural land could be reclaimed?
What if crop production could be increased 20% and germination of seeds accelerated.
What if landfills were no longer needed for any organic waste?
What if by increasing soil carbon we could emit 336 TRILLION fewer kg of carbon in the form of carbon dioxide into the air worldwide.
What if 2400 wastewater treatment plant operators in the U.S. converted all their biosolids into rich organic fertilizer that could be used anywhere without restrictions, utilizing "vermistabilization" instead of multimillion dollar processing that uses energy and chemicals to produce a product that is landfilled, incinerated, or applied to land with strict regulations?
What if all this was possible and already proven and used in other countries but not the U.S.?
What if the lowly redworm was the solution to all of the above? Charles Darwin, Dr. Roy Hartenstein, and Dr. Clive Edwards would all agree that vermibiotechnology is the easiest, most effective, and least costly solution to the above issues. I want to establish funding and grant opportunities to perform research which confirms that utilizing redworms to destroy pathogens in municipal biosolids and thus meet E.P.A. Class A Part 503 Processes to further reduce pathogens as an alternative methodology for pathogen reduction. My company name is W.O.R.M.S. (Worms Operating to Reduce Municipal Sludge) and I want to revive research begun initially in 1978 by Dr. Roy Hartenstein and carried on by Dr. Clive Edwards in 1997. It's time that the U.S. join the rest of the world in using vermicomposting and vermitechnology to dispose of wastes in an environmentally safe, cost effective manner.
