The Start of MobilizeU is Just 3 Days Away!

Beginning this Thursday, March 29^th, youth leaders from almost 200 universities in 32 countries and 34 US states will spend four weeks educating and mobilizing their campus communities around environmental activism. We are elated to have so many passionate students from across the globe generating acts of green and using Earth Day 2012 as a platform to engage new constituencies in the environmental movement.

MobilizeU is both an international competition and a dynamic network, providing a framework for student environmental activists to share ideas, learn from each other, and make a big collective impact. The MobilizeU Facebook page has become an extremely vibrant forum for this youth network, with students from Cameroon to Ireland to Ohio, sharing videos and photos depicting campus clean-ups, recycling campaigns, biodiversity demonstrations, and more. All before the MobilizeU Month (March 29 – April 29) has even begun! It is truly inspiring to see the support and ideas that students have given each other, and we cannot wait to see what innovative new initiatives will be accomplished over the next four weeks of environmental activism!

There is still time for your university (or the university of a student activist you know) to join the international MobilizeU Movement. But act now, because the deadline to register is this Thursday, March 29^th.
