The Educators’ Network 2.0 is Here!

Are you a teacher, parent or student interested in environmental issues? Having trouble finding quality resources related to the environment? If so, check out Earth Day Network’s newly launched learning platform to get the best resources and expert advice related to environmental literacy promotion. The Educators’ Network (edu.earthday.org) is a one-of-a-kind online resource that seeks to connect people nationwide and fills the rapidly growing need for high quality educational tools that support environmental education and green school efforts across the school community. Additionally, schools that utilize this Network have the potential to further empower their applications for the U.S. Department of Education’s new Green Ribbon Schools award program starting this fall. The Educators’ Network was created thanks to a grant from Wells Fargo & Company.

This free Network will also enable individuals nationwide to share a library of materials collected from teachers nationwide, including lesson plans, teaching materials, grants, and blogs. For example, individual teachers can download lesson plans related to renewable energy, or interested students could form a group and learn to green their school from top to bottom. And if you have any questions down the road, feel free to “Ask the Expert” for advice, engage in dialogue with EDN staff and key partners, and find grant opportunities targeted to educators.
